This past week I received news I was selected to compete in the Bullfighters Only Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada from December 6, 2017 – December 17, 2017. My life has always been around the sport of rodeo and ten years ago I decided I wanted to fight bulls. This has been an amazing hourney and the last three years I have fought professional with the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association. I have had the privelege of working with really great contractors who support me and who have encouraged me.
2016 was a year that will remain very memorable to me as I was the first First Nations Bullfighter to win the Bullfighters Only Event on Canadian Soil at the Red Deer Centrium. This win opened up many doors and opportunities including Iron Cowboy in Arlington, Texas, U.S.A. which was by invitation only. I also received an invitation to fight bulls at the Indian National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas the same year. All that I have done so far is with the support of my family, my wife and our two children. I am an educator and always have enjoyed working with youth. It is important for me to be a role model to other First Nations Youth and by going to this year’s Bullfighters Only Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada, I know I that will be inspiring to others to follow their own dreams. At this time I do need sponsors to get to Las Vegas. I have to attend the event on leave (without pay) from my current employement. So far my expenses incude expenses for flights, lodging and food in Las Vegas. My rooms are $1100.00 for the days I am to be there. Flights are between $700-$1500 I also have to pay an entry fee of $350.00 U.S ($446-$450 Canadian) funds my total travel budget will be between $2800-$3100. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I would like to thank you in advance for the generosity and appreciate your consideration of my request of proposal of sponsorship.
